Five members of our team hold a PhD.

Mariluz holds a PhD in Nanotechnology and a degree in Chemistry from the University of Valencia. Her career sits where frontier science meets European research funding.
She has hands-on experience in micro- and nanofabrication, photonics and advanced materials, gained in cleanrooms and high-tech environments in academia and industry, including well-known international companies. She also has a proven record in winning competitive funding and in strategic R&D and innovation consulting.
She knows the European regulatory and innovation framework from the inside. She has taken part in international working groups on standardisation and scientific positioning, and she evaluates Horizon Europe proposals as an expert for the European Commission. She has led institutional initiatives and represented organisations in multidisciplinary and international forums, building key alliances and driving deep-tech areas such as nanotechnology and advanced medical technologies.
At MATICAL she is Technical Director and leads the European projects and innovation strategy team. She combines her scientific and technical view with business development to win funding from European R&D programmes, coordinate international consortia and support technology transfer and the scale-up of initiatives with high industrial impact.
